Two of the tourists ended up unconscious in an emergency room.
A third tourist, an unidentified man from Europe, was found dead in his hotel.
All three men were believed to have been with prostitutes The three tourists were apparently slipped a version of Rohypnol, the date-rape drug, and then robbed of all their cash and valuables.
The Sandton Medi-Clinic on Thursday issued a warning after two of the tourists were admitted to their emergency room unconscious.
All three men were believed to have been with prostitutes before they were slipped the drug.

When the two who survived were brought to consciousness, they found that their valuables, money and credit cards had been stolen and they could not remember details of the incident.
Vicky Nash, the public relations and client services manager at Sandton Medi-Clinic, said she wanted to alert the public to the danger, because large numbers of foreigners will be visiting Johannesburg for the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) next month.
'They both had amnesia' "We just want to make the public aware of this especially before the World Summit," Nash said.
She did not release the names of the two surviving victims as this was against hospital policy, but said the hospital had been extremely concerned when the third victim was pronounced dead on arrival at Morningside Clinic, the sister clinic of Sandton Medi-Clinic.
Nash said the first victim was admitted to the Sandton Medi-Clinic on June 20.
"He was a 50-year-old man from Sweden who had been admitted to our emergency room. He didn't open a case with the police, I think, because he was embarrassed. But all his valuables, his wallet and his credit card were definitely stolen," Nash said.
The second admission to the emergency room was that of a 42-year-old Zimbabwean on July 19.
"His personal possessions were also stolen and there was also the involvement of a woman believed to be a prostitute," Nash said.
She said the hospital believed that the victims had been given a drug that contained benzodiazapines, which was an element of a date-rape drug.
"I cannot say as yet what drug it was, but there was strong indication of a date-rape drug. They both had amnesia.
"They know that they went to a room with a lady and that is all they remembered."
