Hong Kong - Judges and company directors are among the people most likely to indulge in bondage and sado-masochism, a Hong Kong court hearing a case about illegal sex parties has been told.
An expert witness told the court people who took part in the practice were likely to be high up the economic ladder with demanding careers, the South China Morning Post reported Friday.
Clinical psychologist Dr Elizabeth Blurton was testifying Thursday at the trial of the owner and manager of a shop called Fetish Fashion, who are accused of staging illegal sex parties on their premises last year.
Six undercover police officers infiltrated the bondage parties in Hong Kong's Central district and 26 guests including a barrister, a solicitor, an accountant and a businesswoman were arrested.

Blurton, testifying for the defence, said people like judges and company directors were likely to be drawn to bondage and sado-masochism because of their "demanding and restrictive careers".
Explaining why they might enjoy whipping sessions, she said: "Maybe their careers are so restrictive that they are not allowed to show vulnerability and to be submissive in ordinary life."
Fetish Fashion shop owner Brenda Schofield, 54, and shop manager Loretta Mui Shuk-han, 40, deny one charge each of keeping a disorderly house and six of managing an objectionable performance.
