15 South African companies rated by Moody's

Moody’s Investors Service has announced multiple rating actions on South African companies. These actions follow the downgrade of the South African government’s ratings last Friday.

The following are just some of the companies that are affected:

- AngloGold Ashanti: Ratings affirmed at Baa3. Positive outlook

- Steinhoff:              Ratings affirmed at Baa3. Stable outlook

- Barloworld:         Ratings affirmed at Baa3. Negative outlook

- Fortress Income Fund: Ratings affirmed at Baa3. Negative outlook

- Hyprop Investments:   Ratings affirmed at Baa3. Negative outlook

- Telkom SA SOC:          Ratings affirmed at Baa3. Negative outlook

- Imperial Group:       Ratings affirmed at Baa3. Negative outlook

- Redefine Properties:   Ratings affirmed at Baa3. Negative outlook

- Naspers:               Ratings affirmed at Baa3. Stable outlook

- Sasol:                        Ratings downgraded to Baa3. Negative outlook

- Transnet:              Ratings downgraded to Baa3. Negative outlook

- Bidvest Group:          Ratings downgraded to Baa3. Negative outlook

- Growthpoint Group:    Ratings downgraded to Baa3. Negative outlook

- MTN Group:             Ratings downgraded to Ba1. Stable outlook
