Minister of Public Enterprises Lynne Brown together with the members of the Inter-Ministerial Committee have informed the public that they will recommend to the ESKOM board that the decision to appoint Brian Molefe be rescinded. The Minister announced the decision by the IMC during a press briefing at the Imbizo Media Centre in Pretoria.

The IMC, which consists of Brown, Justice Minister Michael Masutha, Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba and Energy Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi, was appointed in May by President Zuma. The Minister indicated that the IMC has reached consensus on the matter.
