Johannesburg - DRDGold had formed a venture with Mintails, which purchased gold-bearing waste deposits from AngloGold Ashanti, the gold producer said yesterday.
The waste, known as tailings, surrounded Ergo, an operation on the East Rand that was discontinued by AngloGold in 2004, DRDGold said. Shares in DRDGold fell 1.64 percent to R6, while the gold mining sector lost 0.72 percent. - Bloomberg
