Johannesburg - Keith Randall on Wednesday was appointed CEO of Hospitality Property Fund with effect from January.

This follows Tsogo Sun's acquisition of a majority stake of Hospitality.

Randall, who is the MD of Sun 1 Hotels, was nominated by Tsogo for the position after the hotel group transaction’s to acquire Hospitality became effective on September 1.

Randall's predecessor, Vincent Joyner, would have his contract as chief executive and a member of the Hospitality board terminated with effect from December 31 following the change of control.

Hospitality thanked Joyner for his role in the implementation of the transaction and for his contribution to the company “during what has been an exceptionally challenging period”.

“Vincent leaves the company in a considerably better position than when he joined the group in September 2015 and the board wishes him every success in the next chapter of his career,” Hospitality said in a statement.

Randall has been with the Tsogo Group for more than 20 years, principally in the development of new hotels and the oversight of major hotel refurbishments in South Africa, Africa and the Middle East.

He has been responsible for the refurbishment and repositioning of Sun 1 Hotels as part of Tsogo Sun after it bought the Formula 1 Group in South Africa from Accor.

Hospitality’s board also appointed Mara de Lima as FD with effect from the end of this month. She is a CA(SA) and has been the group FM of Tsogo Sun Hotels since 2009.

Hospitality Property Fund is a property loan stock company which invests in hotel and leisure properties.
