Johannesburg - The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) will march to Impala Platinum's (Implats) Johannesburg headquarters on Saturday to hand over a memorandum of grievances, metro police said.

“They will march to Impala Platinum's head office and hand over their letter and then return to their gathering point to disperse,” Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said.

The NUM members were expected to gather at Hugh Wyndham Park, in Kent Road, Dunkeld at 10am.

They would march to Jan Smuts Avenue, up to Bompas Road and continue into Hurlingham Street as far as Fricker Road.

Traffic police would man the route and assist with the diversion of traffic until the conclusion of the march at around 2pm, said Minnaar. - Sapa
