Johannesburg - On Sunday October 30, 2016, Business Report carried an opinion written by Dr Roger Bate, under the headline “ WHO policy unintentionally helps fund terrorism”. A South African non-profit interest group provided the article to Business Report.

In the article Bate, alleges that Sicpa has been caught bribing officials globally, including in Kenya. Further allegations of fraud and corruption are levelled at Sicpa.

Following publication, Business Report has called upon Bate to substantiate the allegations against Sicpa, but he was unable to do so.

In the circumstances Business Report retracts the article and unreservedly apologises to Sicpa management for any damage it may have suffered to its reputation."
