Business: SA, Canada in business union

Canadian International Trade Minister Ed Fast yesterday announced a South Africa-Canada Chamber of Business, the Canadian High Commission said. It would provide a forum in South Africa. A spokeswoman said: “The bilateral chamber will present a collective voice for Canadian companies and will inform its members of developments in policies and regulations that may affect their businesses, and advocate on their behalf.” It would promote partnerships with South African companies. Fast also announced the opening of Export Development Canada’s first office in Africa. – Sapa
