Johannesburg - Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan and representatives from the private sector are to embark on an investor road show to the US and the UK from today.
Gordhan is attempting to rebuild foreign confidence in South Africa and show credit rating agencies and investors that the country is not only open to doing business, but is serious about avoiding being downgraded to junk status.

The road show is an outcome of the meetings held between the government and business in recent weeks aimed at restoring confidence in the economy.
The Treasury was not able to provide more details of the road show when contacted by Business Report yesterday.
Gordhan on February 25 tabled a Budget that focused on fiscal consolidation, it reduced national debt and cut spending plans.
