Who are SA’s Top 100 Most Empowered Companies for 2016?

South Africa's leading barometer of black empowerment among JSE-listed companies will present it’s annual awards on October 06.

Johannesburg - Empowerdex, South Africa's leading empowerment rating agency has undertaken an annual assessment of JSE-listed companies' success in meeting black economic empowerment scores for the past 16 years. This year Business Report has revived its media partnership with this important barometer and will showcase the companies that have gone the furthest in transforming South Africa's business landscape.

The Awards will be presented at a gala dinner at The Venue, Green Park Morningside on 6 October, 2016 and results will be published nationally on 7 October in SA's leading business title - Business Report, and the survey report will be published in the Empowerment Magazine that will be distributed nationally in Independent Media's Sunday titles: Sunday Independent, Sunday Tribune and Weekend Argus on 16th October, 2016.

This publication, produced by media and research group Intellidex, will provide a valuable assessment of empowerment levels at JSE-listed companies, examining various sectors and empowerment factors. It will include rankings of the most empowered companies operating under the various codes and charters and the highest ranked companies in different industries. It will also reflect the best-performing companies in each of the different categories on the BEE scorecard.

About the Most Empowered Companies Awards:

The Most Empowered Companies Awards measures which JSE-listed companies in each sector and determines which have done best overall on the various factors that are important in empowerment: from ownership to enterprise development.
