Hong Kong - Hong Kong stocks fell 0.43 percent on Tuesday following a negative lead from Wall Street in response to a worse-than-expected batch of US jobs data.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index shedded 97.48 points to end at 22,791.28 on turnover of HK$59.75 billion ($7.71 billion).
But Chinese shares closed up 0.86 percent on bargain hunting following a recent sell-off.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 17.28 points to 2,026.84 on turnover of 56.7 billion yuan ($9.4 billion). - Sapa-AFP
