London - As anyone with a computer knows, the more ridiculous something sounds, the more likely it will become a huge hit on the internet.
In recent months there has been “planking” - the dangerous practice of lying flat as a plank on surfaces such as train tracks and balconies and then posting a picture of it online.
Now we have “owling”, which encourages you to perch on an object such as a chair or table just like an owl, legs tucked up beneath you. Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and model Katie Price have both recently posted pictures of themselves joining the craze.
So if your children start perching on the garden fence, don’t be alarmed. Let’s just hope the next craze is for something more useful - like “homeworking” or “tidying” - Daily Mail.
