Cape Town - Residents with internet access can now see what the Western Cape government is doing in their neighbourhood.

Premier Helen Zille has launched the capital infrastructure delivery website.

The interactive map provides information on projects planned for the next three years.

Zille said information about 1 050 projects totalling R14.3-billion from the National Treasury were uploaded on the website, including:

l 258 housing projects worth R6.7bn.

l 61 new and replacement schools to the value of R2.1bn and R599 million to be spent on maintenance at nearly 400 schools.

l 118 health infrastructure projects worth R2.7bn.

l 971m on the rehabilitation and upgrading of roads. - Cape Times
