Appetite rising for French government bonds

Paris - The yield on 10-year French government bonds fell below 2.0 percent for the first time ever on Wednesday in an indication of rising appetite among investors for the assets.

At 1315 GMT the yield on benchmark 10-year bonds fell to 1.994

percent in the secondary market, down from 2.033 on Tuesday and breaking the previous record of 2.002 percent set in August. - Sapa-AFP
