Eskom seeks tariff increase extension

Eskom has asked the National Energy Regulator of SA (Nersa) for a one-month extension to submit its third multi-year price determination (MYPD 3) tariff increase application. The tariff period begins on April 1 next year and Eskom was supposed to file its application with Nersa on Friday. Eskom has proposed a five-year determination for MYPD 3 as opposed to three years in the previous MYPD periods. – Londiwe Buthelezi
