“During the period under review, the average international product prices of petrol, diesel, and illuminating paraffin decreased. The average rand/US dollar exchange rate weakened when compared to the previous period,” the department added.
As a result of the decreases, from next Wednesday, the price of 95 octane petrol at the coast will cost R10.47 a litre and R10.82 a litre in Gauteng.
The price of 0.05% sulphur diesel will cost R10.11 a litre in Gauteng and 9.86 at the coast.
