The retail price of all grades of petrol would be increased by 81c a litre from Wednesday, the Energy Department said on Friday. All grades of diesel would increase by 58.38c a litre at wholesale level. The wholesale price of illuminating paraffin would go up by 57c a litre, and the single maximum national retail price would rise by 76c a litre. The maximum retail price for liquid petroleum gas would go up by R1.18 a kilogram. The department said that during the period under review, the average international product prices of petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin had went up.
