Adapt IT Holdings grew headline earnings a share by 52 percent to 17.45c in the year to June, the company said yesterday. Earnings a share climbed to 17.46c from 11.36c a year ago. The listed software developer increased penetration in the education sector and added competence in financial services by acquiring BI Planning Services. In addition to South Africa, the company has operations in Ghana, New Zealand, Australia, the US and Sierra Leone. Operating profit rose to R22.2 million for the year from R15m. Annual revenue rose 24 percent to R224.8m. Chief executive Sbu Shabalala said Adapt IT would continue to seek earnings-enhancing acquisitions. The stock closed unchanged at R1.20 yesterday. – Asha Speckman
