Altech Alcom Matomo, a subsidiary of JSE-listed Allied Electronics (Altron), has secured a R1.2 billion tender to build, operate and maintain the broadband network for 316 Gauteng provincial government-owned buildings and 20 priority townships over the next five years. The tender includes provision of broadband fibre-optic access to 45 Thusong centres, formerly known as multi-purpose community centres, nine economic zones and six urban renewal nodes in the province.
