Shares of South African mining group Anglo Platinum rise 2.9 percent to 744 rand after the world's top platinum producer says it expects as much as a near seven-fold increase in full-year earnings.
The company says it expects headline EPS for the year to end-December to total up to 1,965 cents, compared with 289 cents in the previous year. Headline earnings, the main measure of profit in South Africa, strip out certain one-time items.
The company does not give a reason for the expected jump in earnings.
