Johannesburg - South Africa's No.2 construction firm Aveng Ltd said on Friday it has added 2.4 billion rand ($239.87 million) to its two-year pipeline of projects in the quarter to end-September.
Aveng said its order book totalled 39.8 billion rand as of the end of September compared with 37.4 billion rand at the of June.
“The markets in which the group operates continue to be challenging with no material improvement,” the company said in statement.
Like other building firms in Africa's top economy, Aveng is struggling to find new projects as the government delays rolling out its nearly 1 trillion rand infrastructure package while sluggish demand from struggling mining firms. - Reuters
