Barloworld: BWTS buys up large loads firm

Barloworld Transport Solutions (BWTS), part of listed distribution group Barloworld, has acquired specialist abnormal loads transport company TCS Logistics for an undisclosed amount. Neil Henderson, the chief executive of BWTS, said yesterday that the acquisition would expand the business’s services and capabilities in this specialised area. TCS Logistics operates in sub-Saharan Africa and will fall under the specialised business unit of BWTS. Rogan Brent, TCS’s managing director, and Jason Christie, its operations director, will continue to head the business. – Roy Cokayne
