Beverages: SAB revives trial brewery

SA BREWERIES (SAB) had revived the Fransen Street brewery to launch a speciality beer brand, the local arm of SABMiller said on Friday. The brand, to be known as No 3 Fransen Street, would initially consist of a cream ale, Irish red ale, and krystal weiss, SAB said. They would be available from September 29, brewed on a seasonal basis and distributed to a few outlets in Johannesburg and Pretoria. The Fransen Street brewery in Krugersdorp was opened 16 years ago as a development brewery, testing new products and raw materials. – Sapa
