Johannesburg - South African shares of Coal of Africa slide after company reports its first half loss deepened because of strikes action, lower production and higher logistical costs.

At 09:15 SA time, the company's shares were trading about 16 percent lower at 1.79 rand.

The group earlier reported an interim loss of $111.7 million compared to almost $75 million for the comparable period. - Reuters
