Comair surges as profit doubles

Johannesburg - Shares in South Africa's Comair Ltd surge more nearly 10 percent to their highest in more than six years after the operator of no-frills airline Kulula.com doubles its half-year profit helped by new, bigger and fuel-saving aircraft.

Comair, which also operates domestic British Airways flights, is up 9.72 percent to 3.95 rand, a level last seen in the middle of 2007 and on track for their biggest daily percentage gain in just over a year. - Reuters
