Country Road rises on Woolworths offer

Sydney - Shares in Australian clothes retailer country road rose more than seven percent after South Africa's Woolworths Holdings Ltd offered to buy the stake in the company it does not already own from billionaire investor Solomon Lew.

Country Road shares were trading up 7.36 percent at A$15.03 at 03:03 SA time in a weaker overall market. - Reuters
