Datatec had appointed Dolph Westerbos, a former executive at Dell, as chief executive of its Westcon subsidiary, the listed technology firm said yesterday. Westerbos replaces Dean Douglas, who is departing from Datatec after five years at Westcon. Westerbos would take the reins from January 1, Datatec said. He had more than 20 years of industry experience including in supply chain and asset management and business process outsourcing. The stock rose 1.02 percent to R54.55.
