Eqstra Fleet Management (EFM) said on Thursday it was repositioning its enterprise development entity, Amasondo Fleet Services, as one of the leading black-owned fleet management companies in SA, and an integral part of the Eqstra Group (EQS) of companies.
Amasondo's main drive is to service government departments and parastatals, guided by Public Finances Management Act.
Eqstra said it was currently finalising the deal with a broad based black economic partner and would release details shortly.
“Although Eqstra Fleet Management already boasts a level 2 BEE score card, our board of directors decided that there was a requirement to create and grow a 'black owned' fleet management entity,” said Murray Price, EFM's Managing Director.
“Amasondo aims to position itself as one of the key players in the highly competitive and price-sensitive turnkey fleet industry in the Southern African region,” added Brenda Matyolo, head of Amasondo.
“Top of the to-do list, is to align the company's strategy with government's vision and requirements for fleet management, in order to forge sustainable strategic partnerships that add value,” Matyolo added. - I-Net Bridge
