Johannesburg - Eskom has vowed to take a tough stance on contractors who fail to comply with its safety regulations.
This comes after six workers died and seven were hurt on Thursday at Eskom’s Ingula Pumped Up Storage construction site in KZN.
“As the management team we are deeply disappointed. We have taken companies to court (in the past over safety measures) and have lost. But we will not give up our efforts to ensure the safety of workers,” said chief executive Brian Dames.
