Johannesburg - Shares in Exxaro rise 1 percent as workers at the South African diversified mining firm agree to return to work, ending a crippling two-week wildcat strike at five of its collieries.
Exxaro, one of the nation's leading coal mining firms, is up 1.02 percent at 161.74 rand.
South Africa's gold, iron ore and platinum sectors were rocked last year by violent, illegal strikes, triggering violence that left more than 50 people dead and leading to credit downgrades for Africa's largest economy. - Reuters
