Johannesburg - The UK business daily Financial Times (FT) will stop printing in South Africa mid-year, according to a report on Thursday.

FT spokeswoman Emily Gibbs told Business Day that the paper would close its print site at Caxton Publishing in Johannesburg on July 24.

“The decision reflects the increasingly multi-channel media consumption habits of our readers, as well as our continued investment in producing premium, award-winning editorial content from around the globe,” she said.

Its print run in South Africa is about 1400 daily copies, including weekend editions. - Sapa
