Gold Fields appoints new executives

Gold Fields had appointed three senior executives to its executive committee, the mining company said yesterday. Kgabo Moabelo had been promoted to managing executive for South Africa, giving him responsibility for South Deep. He was previously the group’s executive vice-president for people and organisational effectiveness. His appointment took effect at the start of this month. Lee-Ann Samuel was appointed senior vice-president of human resources. She previously led the remuneration and employee benefits portfolio. Peruvian Ernesto Balarezo had joined the company as the executive vice-president for South America, replacing Juan-Luis Kruger. – Dineo Faku
