Eskom CE Brian Dames and three Eskom executives are unharmed after they were involved in a helicopter accident near Groblersdal this morning.
The company said in a statement that Dames was travelling with Eskom divisional executive Steve Lennon, acting divisional executive Louis Maleka, senior manager Kerseri Pather and two pilots, who also escaped injury.
A thorough investigation will be conducted. - I-Net Bridge
That's little bit harsh anonymous. I think the lesson we should be learning here is that life is short and we should always do good to others.
To God be the Glory for saving these His precious lives
Re lebogela botshelo... Wena "Anonymous" :-)
he will sooon be requesting danger pay
What an insensitive commment Mrs Anonymous. What troubles me with this incident is the risk management policies of Eskom. Are they really allowed to have 4 executives in one helicopter? Did they not learn anything from the Italtile incident? Does the Board have plan b should 4 executives be wiped out in one incident?
I bet this was becuase of load shedding. An internal commission of enquiry must be formed to do the investigation.
The perks of a parastatal job...what's wrong with traveling in a good old fashioned car! No wonder they hike their rates, to pay for their helicopters
Was it running on Eskom's power?
give staff their increase, you share 10 million and give nothing to workers on the ground. tshotsho!!!
That will teach them what happens when there is power shortage.
