Helicopter crash leaves Eskom CE unharmed

Eskom CE Brian Dames and three Eskom executives are unharmed after they were involved in a helicopter accident near Groblersdal this morning.

The company said in a statement that Dames was travelling with Eskom divisional executive Steve Lennon, acting divisional executive Louis Maleka, senior manager Kerseri Pather and two pilots, who also escaped injury.

What an insensitive commment Mrs Anonymous. What troubles me with this incident is the risk management policies of Eskom. Are they really allowed to have 4 executives in one helicopter? Did they not learn anything from the Italtile incident? Does the Board have plan b should 4 executives be wiped out in one incident?

I bet this was becuase of load shedding. An internal commission of enquiry must be formed to do the investigation.
