Lonmin falls as miners go on strike

Johannesburg - Johannesburg-listed shares of Lonmin fall nearly 2 percent after the platinum producer says workers at its Marikana mine in South Africa had gone on an illegal strike.

The strike is near the site where 34 striking workers were gunned down by police last August.

Lonmin shares are down 1.86 percent at 45.38 rand. - Reuters
