Computer giant Microsoft through its outreach programme Microsoft 4Afrika had partnered with Regenesys Business School to offer scholarships for business qualifications, the firm said yesterday. Microsoft would initially provide 1 000 scholarships through the 4Afrika Youth Project including mentorship, leadership, technical training, certification, university-level education and employment opportunities for promising African students. The e-learning qualifications that would be offered through a specialised Regenesys online platform included higher certificates and post-graduate diplomas in business management. Preference would be given to applicants aged between 18 and 34 from Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Botswana, the Ivory Coast and Rwanda, Microsoft said. The Regenesys Foundation is receiving applications via the educational organisation’s website.
