MTN: Deal sealed to control Afrihost

MTN had agreed to acquire a stake of more than 50 percent in internet service provider Afrihost, the cellular network provider said yesterday. Afrihost had reputable brands in the information and communication technology (ICT) industry, MTN said. The deal would add scale to MTN’s online ICT service offering, which was focused on the consumer and small business market.
