Shares in MTN Group slide 3 percent, putting them on course for their biggest daily percentage decline in four weeks, following news of a potential lawsuit from Turkey's Turkcell over MTN's licence in Iran.
Johannesburg-based MTN is down 3.02 percent at 134 rand, after briefly sliding as much as 4.4 percent.
MTN said after the close of trade on Thursday it faces a lawsuit from Turkcell claiming it asked South Africa to back Iran's nuclear development in return for a cellular licence in the country. - Reuters
