MTN rises, full-year earnings jump

Johannesburg - Shares of MTN Group rise nearly 2 percent and after the company posted a 27 percent jump in full-year earnings helped by a weaker rand and strong growth in data revenue.

MTN Group also said it would pay out a final dividend of 665 cents per share.

Shares of Africa's largest mobile operator are up 1.94 percent at 203.21 rand, but are down around 6.4 percent so far this year. - Reuters
