Johannesburg - Shares of South African e-commerce and media group Naspers shed over 4 percent, hit by a sell-off in Chinese internet giant Tencent Holdings, in which Naspers owns over a third.

At 10:00 SA time, Naspers' shares were 4.45 percent lower at 1,056.37 rand, making it the biggest decliner on the Top-40 index, which was down 1 percent.

Tencent shares were down 4.5 percent, leading Hong Kong's market lower, after a recent selloff in Internet-related stocks on Wall Street. - Reuters
