Paramount Group, the privately owned defence and aerospace business, and Boeing have signed a memorandum of collaboration to develop defence and security opportunities in key international markets at the Farnborough International Airshow in England. It would allow Boeing and Paramount to apply their complementary strengths in providing aircraft and land systems solutions for customers in Africa and other major markets that face security challenges as part of future coalition efforts. Paramount chairman Ivor Ichikowitz said Africa was one of the fastest-growing markets for aerospace and defence equipment and he was pleased to be partnering Boeing to better serve their customers in Africa and elsewhere. Chris Chadwick, the president and chief executive of Boeing Defence, Space and Security, said together they could offer African customers the full scope of defence and security solutions from two global leaders in their fields. – Roy Cokayne
