Johannesburg - A pay deal has been struck between the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC), and unions Nehawu and Popcru, they said on Friday.
The agreement resolved long-standing matters, laid a foundation for the future, and finalised salary negotiations for 2013/2014, they said.
The salary adjustments, which would be backdated to April 1, were:
- an eight percent increase for levels one to seven employees, 7.5 percent for levels eight to 10, and seven percent for levels 11 and 12;
- an increase in the housing allowance from R900 to R1200 a month;
- an increase in the danger allowance for all operational members from R338 to R457; and
- the payment of salaries the 15th of each month and allowances on the last day of the month, with effect from November 15. - Sapa
