The airline and engineering capacity of state-owned SA Express would get a boost after it was appointed as the authorised service facility for Africa by global aircraft manufacturer Bombardier Aerospace, the companies announced yesterday.

The appointment meant that SA Express would maintain Bombardier aircraft in Africa.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“Our entire customer services team is firmly committed to expanding our presence in Africa at an accelerated pace to support operators of Bombardier commercial and business aircraft,” said Bombardier Aerospace president for customer services and specialised and amphibious aircraft Eric Martel. - Dineo Faku
