Telkom to probe Maseko clone claim

Comment on this story

Telkom would probe allegations that chief executive Sipho Maseko had cloned car licence plates to avoid traffic fines, the phone company said on Friday. The case was “in no way related” to Telkom, company spokesman Pynee Chetty said. Maseko referred questions to his spokesman, who declined to comment. “The company is aware that Mr Maseko has presented himself to the authorities and that he is committed to resolving the issue within the ambit of the law,” Chetty said. – Bloomberg
