Basic earnings a share were expected to be between 3.6c and 3.75c compared with the previous loss of 5.61c. The group said the increase in earnings a share was mainly due to a reversal of an impairment loss on the Muldersdrift quarry. Shares in WG Wearne closed unchanged at 13c on AltX yesterday.
