Wits Gold shares soar on Sibanye offer

Johannesburg - Shares of junior gold company Wits Gold soar over 30 percent after Sibanye Gold makes a cash offer to acquire all of its shares.

The offer of 11.55 rand a share is a premium of almost 45 percent on Wits Gold's closing price on Monday.

Wits said on Wednesday it was ready to accept the offer.

At 0830 SA time, Wits Gold's share price was almost 33 percent higher at 10.90 rand. - Reuters
