Neo Daniel Moroka, the managing director of De Beers Botswana, was yesterday hospitalised after being attacked by a lion on his farm in Tsabong, west of Gaborone.

Moroka had been scratched by the lion and was now in a “stable condition and recovering”, said De Beers spokesman Chipo Morapedi. Moroka is a former minister of trade and industry who lost his seat in 2009 and was appointed De Beers Botswana managing director. – Bloomberg
