Barclays on Tuesday said that its chief operating officer Jerry del Missier had become the latest high-profile executive to resign over a rate rigging scandal at the British banking giant.

“Barclays today announces the resignation of its chief operating officer, Jerry del Missier with immediate effect” following the departure of chief executive Bob Diamond and chairman Marcus Agius, a company statement said. - Sapa-AFP
