Hong Kong - Hong Kong shares closed 0.32 percent lower on Tuesday, wiping out early gains, despite a strong lead from Wall Street.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index lost 71.36 points to end at 22,317.20 on turnover of HK$65.44 billion (US$8.44 billion).
Chinese shares closed down 2.05 percent.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 42.47 points to 2,034.22 on turnover of 127.8 billion yuan ($20.9 billion).
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on the mainland's second exchange, plunged 3.96 percent, or 44.97 points, to 1,089.22 on turnover of 203.1 billion yuan. - Sapa-AFP
