Namibia GDP growth quickens to 5.3%

Johannesburg - Namibia's economy grew 5.3 percent year-on-year in the third quarter of 2013 compared with a revised 2.7 percent in Q2, mainly due to strong growth in the manufacturing and agricultural sectors, the statistics office said on Friday.

Consumer inflation braked to 4.4 percent year-on-year in November from 4.9 percent in October and to 0.2 percent on a month-on-month basis from 0.4 percent previously. - Reuters
